BOOKING: TONYSOULSF@GMAIL.COM Sit back as I let my soul guide me thru this Deep House Music journey. Recently my father passed away. My soul has been hurt, but given a new power similar to Obi Won Kenobi and Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. If you get a moment, please google my father: Hank Spann WWRL New York City. One of the fathers of Rap Music.
Point blank, there are not many DJs doing it like this. The ability to allow 2 or 3 songs to mesh together into one harmonic song is something that is missed these days. I dare you to figure out when one song ends, and the next one begins...
My name is Tony Soul... and I will be your House Music DJ for the evening............
Listen as Tony Soul rocks his first House Set Ever in San Francisco. During this (soon to be) historic moment, I set the tone as I embark on a Deep House set to introduce myself to San Francisco.
I want to come to where you are. Tell your promoters about me!

Podcast Summary
For over 25 years I have spun nothing but "real" hip hop. I was the most important element in bringing NYC Hip Hop to New Orleans in the 90's. But Hip Hop just got boring to me. My skills include blending 2 to three grooves together at once to make a new song. This was not appreciated to my level of satisfaction. I recently became bored with Hip Hop over the last 5 or 6 years.
A life long fan of House Music, it was a natural transition. My skills are much more suited to this music, and I am fresh. Meaning, I am a quarter of a decade DJ, a true veteran, but its like I just started.
When you hear my flavor, it wont matter what kind of music you like. I will free your mind.
The son of a New York City radio legend, (Hank Spann/WWRL NYC) I have been spinning since the late 80's. While I am a NYC/New Orleans cat, having moved back and forth throughout my life, It is New Orleans where my mark was made. I have been the Head/Resident DJ at several clubs including the House of Blues, and the Fashion Cafe, as well as damn near every other spot down south.
I have been a mixshow host, and On-Air personality for WQUE, WYLD, KBLK, as well as the legendary WTUL-FM Tulane University College Radio. I started my career working for my Mom Dukes. She was working BDP's Criminal Minded, and I was her bag man.
I also worked as a talk show producer at the legendary WWRL-AM in NYC.
In the 90's there werent many major concerts that came to town that I wasnt the host, and/or DJ.
My name is synonymous with the "flavor" of the 90's in the South, as you couldnt party without coming to New Orleans, and if you were dancing and chanting along with the music (like we did in the 90's) then that was my short black ass up on the turntables.
While my DJ career was fun, I was more into my career as a record executive. For a short time my career flourished, having worked for most of the major labels as a regional marketing director. Working with artists from Mary J. Blige to the Wu-Tang Clan, and all in between, this took me away from DJ'ing, and forced me to the sidelines.
Now I am here in San Francisco. My dream city. Humble, as there are several good DJ's here, but make no mistake about it. They will need to make room for me.
I've DJ'd happy hours, and rocked crowds of up to 2000, but now I am on the West Coast and its time to go hard.
I spin DEEP SOULFUL House.... PERIOD
